Still Sick and Incredibly Tired
I finally went back to the doctor today about this ongoing illness and exhaustion. He looked at my throat and felt my swollen neck glands, listened to my chest, etc., but didn't seem too worried. So I feel horrible but apparently don't look that horrible, which is good, I guess.
He ordered a few blood tests for me as follows:
Comp Metabolic Panel
Lipid Panel w/ reflex Dir LDL
CBC w/ DIFF
TSH
I think I had these same tests done last year and I came out normal on all of them. I don't know what they mean, exactly, but I think one might be about testing your thyroid and one about diabetes, stuff like that.
Unfortunately, the fatigue was so bad today that I didn't get a workout in. I hope I'll be able to do one tomorrow. I am going to try to sleep without any cold meds tonight and see if it makes me less tired tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Good for you, Lainie, for going to the doctor. Take it easy and don't overdo until you find out what's wrong with you. You will probably have to get your body built back up after you get well.
I almost died from double pneumonia 3 years ago and came home on oxygen. There was a chance I would never get off it. I remember going into my room with my oxygen on and slowly stepping up and down on my step wondering if I'd ever be able to do any of my dvds again.
After I got off oxygen I started with some of my older, slower dvds but it didn't take very long at all to get back to where I was.

Yikes, scary story, Darlene! I'm glad you healed from that ordeal. I have decided to take it fairly easy this week as you can see from my next post. I still intend to work out, but I won't start anything too tough this week. Also, if I start having coughing fits or feeling miserable during a workout, I will definitely stop and rest instead. Thanks for the prayers!
