Attempting to Not Eat Cookies as Son Tosses His Cookies

OK, I just wrote that title up there and it seems pretty silly--like why would someone puking make me want to eat cookies? You'd think it would turn me off food. But if you're a comfort eater you might understand. I didn't want to eat cookies as I was cleaning it up or anything, just when worn out after the cleanup.

Anyway, I did not eat cookies. Also, I think I will not list what I eat every single day--just because that's so high-maintenance. I will say if I'm on plan or not, though. I am also writing things down on a paper so I'm keeping my own record. Today I was on plan all day until dinner time. Around 5 pm my youngest son threw up. Then he did it a couple more times a little later. He also got clingy and was crying a lot. So it was kind of a rough evening. Finally he fell asleep on the couch and I got up to make dinner. I decided to make breakfast for dinner. Then I ate it, too. I did make myself an Egg Beater instead of a regular egg. I also had Fiber One bread for my 2 slices of toast. However, I also had 2 slices of bacon--and not turkey bacon but just regular old fatty bacon. Still, in the past I might have had 2 whole fried eggs, plus 4 slices bacon, plus 3-4 slices of white toast with jelly, so not too bad, I guess. Also, like I said, I was totally on plan the rest of the day. I was also on plan all day yesterday (didn't get a chance to get on here and mention that last night).

I also had a wonderful workout today. I did Cathe's Low Impact Circuit. It had been a while since I did the whole thing. This morning I was really dragging--tired and zoning out, so it was tough to get up and workout. I finally got up and got started, though, and by the time I was done I was energized. I felt like I'd gotten a good tough workout but I felt invigorated. Cathe's workouts are often like that. Of course my knees are clicking tonight even though it was a low impact workout. Stupid wonky knees.

Tomorrow is yoga day. I'm also planning to register for Cathe's August Road Trip, if I can get a spot! I'm nervous just thinking about it....

A hundred or so years ago, while working as an au pair in France, I one day caught myself biting into a piece of bread from my left hand while wiping up vomit from the floor with my right hand... I think I'll be able to handle motherhood!

Hanlie, yep, you've had some good puke practice! I was just thinking the other day how good at multitasking and handling pressure motherhood has made me. Similar experience as an au pair, of course. :)

Sarah, that is pretty good stuff--and seems like your style. I especially liked this one: http://xkcd.com/77/
