A Goal for All This Upper Body Work
The dress pictured here (on a weird mannequin) is the one I’ll be wearing to a black tie affair in early October. I will be heading to NYC the first 3 days of October for a special business meeting with my husband’s firm, which will include a gala. Together, hubby and I picked out this lovely iridescent blue floor-length dress. I plan to buy a strapless suck-you-in undergarment of some sort, so that will help with any body bumps (though thankfully those are better than they used to be anyway), but I’m glad I’ve already been doing some upper body work so that the most exposed part of my body will be looking a bit better. It’s still not looking fabulous, so I guess I’d better work my heinie off (or more literally, my arm fat off) in the next month. It helps that I’ve got a decent size rack to hang the dress on (and the rack will be better with the aforementioned supportive body bra stuff) and I have a nice round bottom. I have always been blessed with an hour glass figure, it’s just that post-babies the hour glass is rather large and the waist is less defined. Ugh.
Speaking of the weight, I have not been losing much the last couple months, but I have had some measurement changes, at least. In the last couple months I've lost 1 1/2" from my upper arm, 1” from the waist, and 1/2" from the upper thigh. Unfortunately I somehow gained 1” in the hips. That gain matches it to my boobs, though, so it maintains that hour glass (if only the waist would shrink more dramatically). Just think how many inches I could lose if I were doing better at Weight Watchers!
